Long time, no speak!

I know, I know!

Where to start now! lol!

Things are a lot better at home. W is on a new anti-psychotic med which is really helping. He doesn't need to be asked to help around the home and because of this the house is looking much more presentable.

He is back at uni after passing all subjects last semester (huge relief!) and seems happy to be back there.

I have been experiencing some more anxiety so am back on antidepressants. This time I am on Lexapro which seems to be helping a bit, even though I still get shaky episodes. I will move up to a whole tab from half a one next week.

The kids are doing ok. Miss 8 got her first detention last week for 'daking' other kids in the playground- she was one of a group who thought this was fun. She was made to fill out a responsible thinking sheet during detention which I was really pleased with as she had been told she would be writing lines! Master5 is loving school, but totally exhausted. His writing is amazing and he is getting the right sounds on the page when he needs to.

In other news... I have a job! Sales Assistant at Myer. I had some initiation this morning, then a full day's training tomorrow. I am a casual which is fine by me as the money is better! I am guaranteed work into january from 1-50 hours/week. Hopefully I will be able to stay on and work weekends at the start of the year when I am still trying to get supply work.

I am (back) on track with my exercise (according to my new trainer!) and seem to be eating better.

So life is not that bad! W still has occasional meltdowns, but we are both relating to each other a lot better. I no longer have feelings that I would be better off as a single parent and am beginning to enjoy W's company again.

Now all we need is for him to get some casual employment when his sick leave finishes in 6 weeks time...
